Chinese smartphone maker Coolpad has just introduced its new budget smartphone dubbed as the Coolpad Cool 2 as the successor of the Cool 1 which was launched in 2016. While the Coolpad Cool 1 has been launched with mediocre specifications, the highlight of this smartphone is the water and dust proof properties. Yes, the Coolpad Cool 2 comes with water and dust resistance, however, the company hasn’t specified the rating, as of now.
That being said, the Coolpad Cool 2 has only been launched in China as of yet, but we expect the smartphone to be introduced in India soon as the company has silently resumed its operations in India recently after launching two affordable smartphones, Coolpad A1 and Mega 4A, after parting ways with LeEco. The pricing of Coolpad Cool 2 hasn’t been revealed yet.
Coolpad Cool 2 Android Smartphone was launched in April 2018. It is priced in India at Rs. 15999, running on the Mediatek MT6750 processor with Mali-T860MP2 GPU. The phone has 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage which is expandable using microSD, up to 128 GB (uses SIM 2 slot).
The Coolpad Cool 2 has a 5.7 inches, 720 x 1440 pixels IPS display with a pixel density of 282 ppi. Coming to cameras, it has a Dual 13 MP rear camera and a 8 MP front camera for selfies. It has a microUSB port for data syncing and charging. There is a notification LED present on the Coolpad Cool 2 as well, along with a fingerprint sensor, magnetic field sensor (compass), ambient light sensor, proximity sensor and accelerometer sensor. It is a dual SIM smartphone with support for 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and GPS too.
The Coolpad Cool 2 runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) and all this is powered by a 3200 mAh battery. It measures 154.7 x 73.3 x 9 mm (height x width x thickness) with a total weight of 160 grams including + battery.
