Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has launched its 2018 flagship Honor 10 smartphone at a price of Rs 32,999. The smartphone will be exclusively available on e-commerce website Flipkart starting from May 16. The AI-centric Honor 10 smartphone is powered by the latest octa-core Kirin 970 processor with 6GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.1 interface and is powered by a 3400mAh battery with support for Fast Charging.
On the front, the Honor 10 also comes with a notch up top — that you can also hide via software — like the Huawei P20, and chin at the bottom. The setup entails in a phone that can boast of a screen-to-body ratio of an upwards of 86 per cent.
The bottom bezel on-board houses a rather unconventional always-on fingerprint scanner. The Honor 10 uses Qualcomm’s ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. Qualcomm’s ultrasonic solution allows OEMs to implement a fingerprint sensor under display, glass, or metal. Qualcomm’s sensors are also said to be able to work when wet or greasy, unlike the more conservative sensors seen in phones today. All of this added functionality means Qualcomm’s sensors are as much as three times more expensive in unit cost than traditional solutions.
The Smartphone is powered by a Octa core Hisilicon Kirin 970 Processor. A 6GB of RAM & Mali-G72 MP12 graphics processor ensures phone runs smoothly even the most memory intensive applications & still shows no signs of lag. 64 GB of internal storage can not be expanded further.
The Phone comes with a large 3400 mAh battery to support it’s 5.84 inch screen with IPS LCD display having a resolution of 1080 x 2280 at 432 ppi. The screen is also protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass. Huawei Honor 10 boasts of dual primary camera of 16 + 24 megapixel and 24 megapixel for selfie
