Almost a year ago in the last Annual General Meeting (AGM 2018), they announced DTH and Giga Fiber. From that time, Jio is doing beta testing of Jio Giga Fiber in some cities. Now recently Jio announced that testing of this system is on the final stage. As every year Jio does an annual meeting, and we can expect that they will launch that in this meeting.
The company didn’t give any official statement about the launch. The meeting will be organised on the 12th of August. A report by The Hindu says they will launch in this meeting. Giga Fiber was originally available on the security deposit of Rs. 4500. Jio researched any they got know that consumers are already getting some cheaper options. Then they introduced Optical Network Terminal at the security deposit of Rs. 2500.
What will you get in this plan?
The cheaper plan offers a single-band router wherein the original plan is providing a dual-band router. Even the speed decreased in this plan. You will get 50 Mbps where originally it was 100 Mbps. You will able to do some calls through broadband. It will also give you access to Jio TV. FUP is 1,100GB data per month. The plan will cost Rs — 600 per month.
Some rumours say you will get three months of free service after security deposit of Rs. 2500.
