Indian smartphone maker Kult launched a new budget smartphone by the name of ‘Kult Impulse’ on Monday. The latest Kult device is priced at Rs 8,999 and will be available across the country from Tuesday. Reports about a new Kult smartphone with a bezel-less display had emerged last month and had provided an early hint at the smartphone’s launch. In terms of pricing, the Kult Impulse costs Rs. 8,999 and will be available across India starting Tuesday (May 15)
The company said in a statement.
“Our focus has been to offer the best possible technology, innovation and experience to the users and ‘Impulse’ is designed, keeping in mind, the inspirers’ attitude,” said Nitesh Gupta, Director, New Product Development, Kult.
The Kult Impulse comes with a 5.99-inch HD+ TruView display with minimal bezels all around. In the performance department, the smartphone comes with a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6739 processor, accompanied by Mali-T720 MP1 GPU. The SoC is further backed by 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card. The imaging department on the smartphone features a 13-megapixel f/2.0 rear camera with dual LED flash and a 13-megapixel selfie camera with LED flash. Out of the box, the Kult Impulse runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. A 4,000mAh battery keeps the lights on for the handset. For security, there is face unlock and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Connectivity optics in the Kult Impulse include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, OTG support, Micro-USB, 3.5mm jack, and FM radio. Sensors on board the smartphone are an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor.
