MG Motor revealed Hector’s Connectivity Features
Normally people are going to get those old fashioned connectivity options like Bluetooth, navigation and all. But with iSmart Connectivity technology, people are going to get some amazing options.

This AI technology has been developed to understand Indian People’s accent more accurately and quickly. Artificial intelligence and machine learning are combined to make a better outcome. Users can activate the Hector’s Voice Assist just by saying ‘Hello MG’.
You can do bunch of functions including navigation, opening & closing windows and sunroof, etc. MG also highlighted that it’ll be working well even in poor connectivity status.
5G Compatibility and OTA Updates
One can use an embedded Airtel SIM card and enjoy 5G speed connectivity. So whenever any software update is available, users can download it over-the-air (OTA Updates). Just like in our smartphones, whenever an update is available, we can download it and install it OTA. Here’s the same deal in the MG Hector.
Pre-Installed Apps
Now you’ll be able to enjoy while driving with these pre-installed apps. This list includes a premium Gaana Account to stream favourite songs. Also, you can use TomTom’s IQ Map Navigation and as well as AccuWeather app for weather forecasts.
iSmart Telematics App
You can install iSmart Telematics App on your phone to get instant access to real-time location of the SUV. You can even check tyre pressures using the app and enable geo-fencing too with it. Unlocking and locking car doors with a smartphone is going to be a new trend.
Basically, you can do all basic things with the app including starting AC system too. You can also track your SUV’s service history to know the current status of your car. If it needs to be serviced, you can send it for a service.
eCall Emergency System
eCall Emergency System can automatically trigger the MG customer management system if any mishappening happens. If somehow in an accident airbag are deployed are car is damaged, it’ll send a message to the official centre and also at the user’s registered phone numbers so that immediate actions can be taken to save a life.
Magnet Dealer Management System
The magnet dealer management system is the system which records data about the dealers, service centres, company and as well as the customers. This system will help the users to enable recognition and access services at company’s official service centres and dealerships.
Talking about the engines, the Hector SUV comes with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol with a 48-volt mild hybrid system and also a 2-litre diesel system.
The MG Hector is expected to be priced somewhere around Rs. 15-20 Lakh (ex-showroom). If it is priced in this range, it’s directly going to compete with the Tata Harrier and Jeep Compass. Also, it’ll definitely beat both of them because of it’s new iSmart Technology and features.
