Sigma is a well-known brand for amazing lenses and now Sigma launched the world’s smallest Full Frame Camera “Sigma fp”. The body length of this camera is just 4.3-inches. It can easily fit into your palm and pocket.
Sigma fp Specifications and Features
It has 3.15 inches LCD touch screen. As earlier mentioned it is a full-frame camera so it has a 35-mm of sensor. The sensor is of 24.6MP. It comes with L-mount just like Lumix and Panasonic.
Sigma fp can record 12-bit CinemaDNG RAW video at 4K 24 FPS. It can go up to 30fps, 60fps, and even 120fps. It can also shoot 14-bit RAW image. Sigma replaced mechanical shutter with the electronic shutter. It doesn’t have any mechanical shutter (physical shutter). This camera has an ISO range of 100 to 25,600 but through expansion setting, it can go up to ISO of 102,400.
This camera is splash resistance. It has all the required ports like USB 3.1, HDMI, flash sync port, and MIC port. This camera is clearly being targeted as a cine/stills hybrid. It has a dedicated button that switches between both modes. As well as a dedicated video record button. Body of this camera is made up of die-cast Aluminum alloy. It is splash-proof and dustproof. HDR images can be captured with this camera.
Sigma fp has direct competition with Sony A9 and Black Magic Cinema Pocket Camera. It can be a great cinema camera because it has all the feature which required in a cinema camera. According to Sigma, it is compatible with Atmos Ninja Inferno and Blackmagic Video Assist 4k external recorder.
Sigma fp Price in India
Sigma hasn’t announced the price of this camera yet but other cameras by Sigma costs around $800 (Rs ~55,000) to $1200 (Rs ~85,000). So we can expect it will cost around $1500 (Rs. ~1,00,000)
