Snapdragon launched their new chipset for mobile platform Snapdragon 215. This chipset is the successor of 205 and 210. This chipset has some hardware improvements in it. Now the Smartphone under Rs. 7000 will perform better.
Snapdragon 215 Specifications
The Snapdragon 215 is a 64-bit CPU. It has 4 Cortex A53 Cores and clocked on 1.3GHz. This processor built on 28nm technology. The company claims it will perform 28% better than older processors in 200 series because it has the latest Adreno 308 GPU.
This Chipset can support 8MP of the dual-camera system or a 13MP single camera. It can take up to 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. With the help of this chipset, we can record a video on 1080p resolution. We can even use HD+ panels on this processor.
Snapdragon 215 comes with Snapdragon X5 LTE Cat 5 modem with the help of this modem we can reach up to 150Mbps download speed and 5Mbs Upload. This chipset can also support the NFC which means we can even use Google Pay with this.
This chipset also supports Dual SIM system and Dual LTE. It will support Quick Charge 1.0 at 10W with a 5/2V adapter. Snapdragon 215 will work on Bluetooth 4.2. Snapdragon 215 gets a DSP for low power audio and sensor processing.
Now we can expect better mobile phones under Rs. 7000. Qualcomm says these chipsets will be available from the 2nd half quarter.
